Preparing for flashing§

1. Download and unpack the firmware archive The “Download” button is in the panel under the device name.
2. Connect the router to the computer with a cable (Ethernet) Flashing over Wi-Fi is not possible.

Installing from stock firmware§

1. Reset and setup Reset the router, go through the initial setup and set the password 12345678.

2. Running the installer Run !Start.exe, choose item 11 and follow the instructions in the window.

   

3. Firmware backup Run item 22 — a backup of your firmware is created in the data folder. Keep it in a safe place.

4. Installation Choose item 55 — a backup is created and the system is installed.

After the reboot the device starts.

Updating the firmware§

To update, use the method for SPI memory. Use fw_keenetic.bin or fw_keenetic_v2.bin from the Keenetic folder.

Reverting to stock firmware§

You will need the flash memory backup (16 or 32 MB) saved before flashing. The steps are in the instructions for SPI memory.
