Preparing for flashing§

  1. Download and unpack the firmware archive The “Download” button is in the panel under the device name.
  2. Connect the router to the computer with a cable (Ethernet) Flashing over Wi-Fi is not possible.

Installing from stock firmware§

  1. Intermediate firmware Install the intermediate official firmware from the archive: 1. cudy_re3000-v1-sysupgrade.bin.
  2. Installing OpenWrt In the OpenWrt web interface, upload 2. openwrt-cudy_re3000-v1-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin as an update.
  3. Flashing After the reboot, run Cudy_RE3000_flasher.exe and wait until it finishes. The script creates backups, installs the firmware and restarts the device.

Warning

The router starts in repeater mode — a static IP address is required!

Updating the firmware§

To update, enter the KeenBOOT bootloader and upload the update file through the web interface — more details.

Reverting to stock firmware§

  1. Enter the KeenBOOT bootloader by holding the Reset button.
  2. In the Update section, upload the full_backup.bin backup as Single image — the script created it during the first installation.
