    Installer menu

  3. Backup and switching to KeenBOOT The script saves a backup of the factory (EEPROM) partition to the installer/data folder and reboots the device into the KeenBOOT bootloader.

  4. Entering KeenBOOT Enter the KeenBOOT bootloader (how?) at 192.168.1.1.

  5. Backup Save a Full backup in case you want to revert the firmware.

  6. Preparing the EEPROM Use the EEPROM created by the script during the installation from the stock firmware, or the EEPROM backup from Breed if Keenetic was installed earlier. In the “Set MAC” tool, load the EEPROM, enter the MAC address from the sticker and put the generated eeprom.bin into the firmware folder.

    Tip

To minimize installation problems, it is recommended to set the IP address 192.168.1.2 on the network card.

Static IP on the network card

  2. Flashing over Telnet Start PuTTY, connect over Telnet to 192.168.1.1 on port 23 and paste the commands with the right mouse button, waiting for the previous one to finish.

    Warning

    • Turn off your OS firewall and antivirus beforehand.
    • The messages skipped bad blocks and Flash erasure failed with -5 after entering the commands are normal.

    Caution

    • Each line is a separate command. If it fails, run it again.
    • Compare the IP in the wget commands below with the IP shown in HFS. In the Breed bootloader it always starts with 192.168.1.xxx.
